Project Description

The LTF Refinery Project is being developed on the island of Grand Bahama, 35 miles east of Freeport. The facility will be a low-complexity refinery designed to process imported Eagle Ford-grade crude oil into high-value transportation fuels and chemical feedstocks. The Project has a planned $2.21 billion construction program that, when completed, will include a 250,000 barrel per day (BPD) crude oil atmospheric distillation unit and an 80.000 BPD distillate desulfurization unit with an accompanying naphtha steam reformer for the production of hydrogen. Refinery production will consist of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), naphtha as a petrochemical feedstock, jet fuel, ultra-low sulfur diesel, and very low sulfur fuel oil to be sold into the bunker fuel market. Aside from the processing units, there will be two marine loading and unloading platforms capable of handling vessels ranging in size from Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) down to small coastal vessels, as well as all necessary infrastructure, including an LPG truck terminal, interconnecting pipelines, loading/unloading facilities, an inner harbor, utility systems, a solar power generator, and support facilities.
